THE HOME DEPOT

Uncontained Open House

How to sell a house piece-by-piece.

In order to highlight a range of The Home Depot’s products across categories and aisles, we tapped into influencer talent, Ben Uyeda from Home Made Modern. Together, we built an entire home inside a shipping container, entirely out of products from The Home Depot. And then turned it into a shoppable, 360-degree interactive experience.

Our challenge.

Remodeling an entire home can be a huge undertaking. So how can we make it feel more accessible to the average consumer?

Easy. Scale it down. Don’t makeover a a mega mansion. Redesign a smaller space. And do it all with products from The Home Depot.

Our approach.

Our influencer practice is built on collaborative partnerships that result in meaningful content, not just product placements. Ben Uyeda from HomeMade Modern is a designer, lecturer, and entrepreneur focusing on the field of affordable and sustainable design. As a DIY guru that produces exceptional content with materials sourced entirely from his local Home Depot store, he was the perfect partner to help create a full-home product showcase.

Together with Ben, we transformed shipping containers into a tiny home, fully equipped with the latest and greatest in finishes, technology, and features available at The Home Depot. Using 3D cameras, we were able to map the entire space and make every inch of it shoppable. We documented the transformation with videos and still photography, which was used to create a full social and digital content ecosystem that highlighted the various projects and products used in the build.
