THE HOME DEPOT
Design You Can Feel
Introducing customers to The Home Depot’s stylish new showroom.
The Home Depot Design Center is a premier destination for kitchen, bath and laundry design with 2 unique interactive showrooms in San Diego and Rockville, Maryland.
Their premium products, service and expertise set them apart from traditional Home Depot stores. Instead of finding tools, lumber and plumbing, customers of the Design Center can find Miele built-in espresso machines, high-end induction ranges from Gaggenau and multitudes of other high-end appliances and fixtures.
Our goal was to introduce this stylish new shopping experience to the world.
Our challenge.
Customers already trust The Home Depot for paint, appliances and tools.
Our challenge was to introduce Depot’s typically DIY audience to a new, more immersive and refined shopping experience where they could literally touch, test and explore every piece of the showroom.
Our approach.
The Home Depot Design Center was designed to be brand experience unlike any other. So we wanted to talk about the brand in a voice was The Home Depot ideal: Real, Authentic, Genuine—but also in a way that is distinctive and unique. We also wanted to encourage a generation of digital enthusiasts to step away from their Pinterest boards for a moment and entice them to visit a showroom where they could experience inspiration not online but in-person.
Our tagline “Experience Design You Can Feel“ was crafted to reach our customers on a physical and emotional level. While the showroom is a place where customers can literally try out every cabinet, appliance and faucet in the store, it is also a place where consumers could discover new styles and find inspiration for their ideal space.
Over the course of a 2 day shoot, we captured wide-shots, close-ups, overhead shots and every other possible angle of the showroom. We shot artisan-crafted backsplash tiles, sleek touchless faucets, professional-grade ranges and ovens, and beautifully curated kitchens and baths.
The video footage and hundreds of photos that we captured in this short period would eventually become everything from magazine print ads, to Youtube Ads, to carousel ads, to Pinterest Pins, to Facebook Instant Experience units and everything in between.
