Work Examples

From scalable tech-enabled content, to platform-led innovation, to product and brand storytelling, we partner with clients to ensure creative ideas come to life efficiently, and with the highest level of craft and quality.

Tech-Enabled Creative

MainSpring Content

One of Trade School’s unique offerings is our MainSpring Content Engine, which helps clients scale digital and social content creation efficiently, and accelerate speed to market.

We’ve built a specialized team and workflow to achieve this high volume production, powered by MarTech, automation, design systems, and adaptable templates to enable scale and personalization.

For a recent project for Coach, we were able to produce over 1000 unique assets across Digital, Social, Email and Web in just 6 weeks.

Platform Led Innovation

Built-in Pins

We wanted to give first time homeowners the confidence to move beyond just inspiration pin boards and turn their “befores” into their very own “afters.” So we created Built-in Pins, a series of Pin-worthy rooms literally built from scratch, inside a Pin. For the first time, people could see every step of their inspiration brought to life, and with the first shoppable 360-degree experience in Pinterest, people could shop the products directly within the platform. And we created more than 1,500 pieces of content with full-funnel media strategies to drive conversion.

Episodic Series

Respect the Hustle

In order to help FedEx scale their approach to video content for their core small business audience, we developed a repeatable framework that would guide content creation - “Respect the Hustle.” This YouTube docuseries highlights small business owners that embody different aspects of “hustle” and that rely on FedEx to grow their business. The concept purposefully requires only a lean production crew, and can be scaled across an endless number of SMB stories.

Product Demonstration

Ice Sculpture

When Pergo wanted to highlight its flooring durability, we devised a striking and innovative digital video campaign centered around the slow, dramatic melting of an ice sculpture. The ice sculpture, representing the wear and tear of everyday life, gradually melted over time, yet the flooring underneath remained pristine and unscathed, showcasing its resilience. This creative and engaging method not only captured the viewers' attention but also vividly demonstrated the flooring's superior durability.

The Home Depot Design Center

In collaboration with The Home Depot, we launched the Home Depot Design Center, a distinguished sub-brand redefining luxury home remodeling. Opening first in San Diego and later near Washington, D.C., these high-end showrooms required a brand identity that aligned with The Home Depot's values while appealing to a sophisticated clientele. Utilizing a sophisticated audience model and a hyper-localized market strategy, we employed digital and online video campaigns to deliver personalized, appointment-driving messages to over ten distinct audience segments in each location. This approach not only mitigated traditional media costs but also doubled the annual lead generation goal, demonstrating the power of tailored, localized marketing.

Brand Storytelling

Negative to Positive

From an industry with a negative environmental reputation, this work assisted in pioneering the sustainable business practices at Interface. This case study investigates the strategic steps taken to build a brand platform centered around sustainability and innovation. It highlights the company's journey of transitioning to a mission-driven organization committed to reducing its environmental impact and creating products that align with a greener future. By analyzing the pivotal decisions, communication strategies, and sustainability initiatives, this work offers valuable insights into how Interface successfully rebranded itself, setting a benchmark for environmentally responsible business practices.

Influencer Marketing

How to Undo

Trade School has an Influencer Marketing team of 18 people, who managed more than 330 influencer partnerships last year. We create custom and scalable programs—ranging from Influencer-led UGC campaigns to fully scripted, agency-produced episodic series.

For example, we were tasked to help The Home Depot reach a younger audience, we created an episodic YouTube series that tapped into the insight that young homeowners are prone to more mistakes as they navigate home projects for the first time. We worked with influencer talent Mike Montgomery to create a show that would teach DIYers how to fix their most common mistakes with approachable, entertaining content. The show was so successful, it’s currently going into concepting for the third season.
